You might have remember my last post about Google Voice. They have changed the way one can make and receive calls in America And Canada. Now the latest from Google Voice according to their blog is choosing a Google voice number with your existing mobile or landlines number.

Now what’s this?

It’s simple. You always don’t want to change your number. And if you have existing or new Google Voice number, you don’t need to change your number for Google Voice sage. You can choose to keep your number and still get Google’s upgraded voicemail features. If you are new to Google Voice you need an Invitation from Friend or request yourself. Once you are registered You can choose full new number from them for voicemail, SMS, selective call forwarding, making calls etc. or with your existing number go through Google’s forwarding setup for your cellphone. Simple isn’t it.

Your voice mail can be reached to you either in form of SMS, Email or on your voice webpage, or it can be playable in Gmail.

See this video for more understanding..

This new feature will help you with the transition to your new number, as you can now forward unanswered calls to your mobile phone to your Google Voice account. Possibilities will many if you connect Google voice number with your existing mobile number. Imagine and enjoy.

Google Voice is of the leaders in Voip calling Industry and was trying many things since its been launched. Firstly it was launched only for USA people, and only they can make and receive free calls through it. But now according to Google voice blog, Google voice now offers free calls to all his 50 states including Alaska and Hawaii. You can get this free calls through your inbox online, from their mobile applications, or by just dialing your Google Voice number from one of your regular phones and selecting option 2 to place a call. You can also forward your calls through this. Let me mention that Google voice service is currently works only in the United States and on invitation only. If you use Google voice you will soon see a link “Invite a friend” on the left-hand side of your inbox.

You can also make free voip calls in the Canada continental will Google Voice.

The idea of Google’s service is simply to offer a single phone number that redirects to all we have, whether mobile, fixed, private, work, … but offering additional services like storing our calls and transcribing them into our Gmail mailbox. You can sms, do call screening, block calls, do conference calling, can do call record – Record calls and store them online, call switch etc with this service.

Certainly though we still see where will this service will go, but imagine a telephony service 100% free and can store up our calls in audio and transcribed to text (need to see the legal implications of privacy and record everything). And to finish the job a Google stronger with more information about each of us to insert advertising and a little more concentrated. It’s a little afraid of the truth.

All and all Google Voice will be a good Voice platform for the worldwide calling if it will extend to other countries.
