Google Voice + GrandCentral Voip Tie Up = Great Voip Calls
Grandcentral was rechristened google.com/voice a few months back from now. Today, there are thousands of Americans who are using a great VOIP call forwarding and Phone Service that is provided by the new player, Google Voice.
Google Voice maintained a low profile for a while. It was away from any kind of news and so the people thought that the company would shy away from the VOIP Phone Service market. But people were highly mistaken as the Google Voice Team was actually busy getting over 1 million phone numbers reserved for Google Voice users. All numbers reserved at this stage will be geographic and reserves with Level 3.
Most of you are aware that Google Voice is the old Grancentral. It enables you to use a single phone number for multiple phone numbers by porting through the platform of the company. When you call on any particular number, it rings back to you. Google Voice had added a lot of interesting features to the already existing list of features. The new features include call transfer, call conferencing, call routing, and call switching. Google Voice had kept the service of free calls to USA alive with the new brand name.
Some strong rumors are doing rounds in the VOIP community that Google Voice might open for everyone in the month of June. And that may be the reason for Google Voice to buy these 1 million numbers. The company might have done it as a part of its launch preparations. Whatever may be the case, let us hope that everyone is able to use the fantastic VOIP services provided by Google Voice. The services from Google Voice are expected to help VOIP Guide users in a big way. In addition to various other features, routing the calls and hacking into SIP via Google Voice would be made extremely easy. There are strong chances that Google Voice may also adopt a Paid model. The Paid model will be used for the heavy users or the corporate customers.
If you have been using the services provided by Google Voice, please let us know your feedback.
