Make Free Calls From Philippines

Philippines is one of those countries where the telecom rules and regulations are not only well controlled but regulated on timely basis to avoid any kind of added advantage to service providers. And because of this, making VOIP calls it is one of the costliest counties in the world. It’s very difficult to make calls at a rate less then the market rate.

In simple words I mean to say that in Philippines you won’t be able to make free or cheap calls to USA or Canada using you mobile or fixed line and in any case if you try, the rates will be equivalent to the market rates. But there is ray of hope since the government has collaborated with Pacific network Inc., to start its own Toll Free Service in Manila. There is no much information available about this toll free service but inquiry about this can be made at the local authority office.

There is not much information in terms of calling but its been know that this Toll Free Service which is likely to be based on VOIP will offer you free access number, from which you can make free calls. For time being, only USA and Canada is accessible for free calling. Also there is no much information on how long you can talk but its seems that it is almost good for a satisfactory talk. Since this service is on the building stage it is not even knows whether it has access to the toll free numbers from outside and then dial out. And if this is the case then it will be a better offer.

This free calling service to USA and Canada will be available till February 2009 and the location of this Toll-Free booth is on the ground floor of the City Hall building and the timings for the public are from 8 am to 4 pm.

The people of Philippines can give this a try and pray that this service holds true to their expectation of the government. For this will be a new beginning for the people of Philippines.
